Did you know you can bring two outfits to your photo session?
Bringing more than one outfit is one of the easiest ways to add depth and variety to your final gallery. Even simple changes, like adding a cozy cardigan over a dress, can completely shift the overall mood of your photos. Different outfits photograph in different ways. Some create movement and softness, while others bring out texture and warmth.
Having options allows us to capture multiple sides of your personality in a single session. Extra outfits also give you flexibility with the weather and help you stay comfortable throughout your shoot. Accessories, like hats, toques, or scarves, especially during the cooler months, can add a fun, seasonal touch and create even more visual interest.
I recently photographed a maternity session where my client brought two outfits: a beautiful boho style dress and a crop top with jeans, along with hats for both her and her partner. The difference between the two looks was incredible. The dress created soft, dreamy, romantic images, while the casual outfit added a cozy, relaxed, modern vibe. It’s the perfect example of how outfit variety can elevate a session and leave you with a gallery that feels complete and full of personality.
